Great Job From All My Sons of Houston

Our friends, the local Houston movers, just recently completed a move for the Shriners Hospital of Galveston. Shriners had a massive renovation and improvement project after the damages left by Hurricane Ike. The hospital had to close down for a little over a year. Our friendly Houston movers were contacted in October of last year to move and store items for the Shriners Family Center which houses families while their kids are being treated at the Shriners Burn Center. So just recently, the All My Sons of Houston moving company unloaded the 16 vaults of furniture out their warehouse and delivered everything back to the Shriners Family Center. The president of All My Sons of Houston was quoted saying “Shriners is a staple in the community. Our team took great pride in performing such a move.”

The All My Sons Moving and Storage family of movers are really experts at what we do. We have plenty of expertise in the moving business and provide all different types of moves for our clientele, from moving businesses like Shriners to residential moves and even long-distances moves. Hire Professional Movers

According to courthousenews.com, just last month a woman claimed that an owner of a trucking company stole her rare Elvis Presley memorabilia while she was moving from California to her new home in Austin, TX. She said the police found some of the stolen property at the homes of the employees of the trucking company. The article goes on to say that these collection items spanned decades of irreplaceable memorabilia and was worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
This is just another example of why you should be very careful when it comes to selecting reliable movers. You want to make sure the moving company you are hiring deals directly with you and you don’t have to go through brokers. Make sure they are licensed and insured and that they have a good reputation. Check out credentials and ask around if anyone you know has used their moving services before. If you’re moving to Austin and its surrounding areas, just give the local Austin movers a call for a group of highly experienced movers and a trustworthy team. All My Sons of Austin has successfully completed countless moves, including residential moves and commercial moves, not to mention long-distance moves or interstate ones. All My Sons and Charity Initiatives

Just recently and in time for the holidays, All My Sons Moving and Storage delivered toys to the kids of Children’s Medical Center, a hospital dedicated to making life better for sick children and kids with serious illnesses. The Children’s Medical Center is actually a private, nonprofit, pediatric healthcare provider completely dedicated to children from birth to 18 years of age. All My Sons Moving started the toy drive in late September with all of its 38 offices in the goal of replenishing the toy chest in the hospital. The way it works, is that every time a child completes a treatment, they get to choose their favorite toy from the toy chest. Our movers were very happy and proud to take part in such a rewarding experience, all hoping to put a smile on children’s faces and their families. It was the holidays after all and soon the beginning of a hopefully healthier year for all these children. All My Sons Moving Charities is committed to giving back to the communities we serve. For more information on our charity initiative, go to All My Sons Moving Charities.

Top 5 Things To Do Before Your Move

Everyone knows moving involves a bunch of chores that need to be taken care of. All My Sons of Austin and the Austin moving crew have put together a quick Top 5 list of things that need to get done the next time you decide to pack up and head out to a brand new place:

Sign a lease or buy a home. Before you move, have a place your happy with. Don’t move if you haven’t settled on a place you like.

Find a reputable moving company you can trust. That’s very important, there are many scams out there, you don’t want to be caught in it. Check credentials, do your research and ask for referrals.

Fill out a change of address form. Make sure all your mail gets forwarded to your new home, you don’t want to miss anything important.

Cancel utilities and set them up in your new home. This way you won’t be paying extra for your former home and you’ll already have utilities in your new place. This is important especially if you work from home or need the internet.

When packing, don’t forget to prepare an extra box or two that you can ‘live out’ of for the first few days in your new place. Everything will still be in boxes, but you’ll probably need a few essentials like a toothbrush, work clothes, cell phone charger and anything else you use on a daily basis.

More Moving Tip From The Austin Movers

We’re in the business of moving so, of course, we accumulate more and more knowledge with every move we do and like to share it with our customers from time to time. Here are a few more random tips and moving advice from the All My Sons of Austin movers. When you’re packing your boxes, try to also pack the bottom part too to make sure all things stay secure and inside the box. Also, try to not over pack it and keep weight to 50 pounds. Don’t pack any flammable items or hazardous materials, that can be dangerous and shouldn’t be loaded in a moving truck. If you have a substantial library in your home, when packing, place book flat in the box, not standing and don’t pack too many in one box, because of the heavy weight. Don’t polish your furniture before moving, it will make it slippery for our Austin local movers and also, it might leave a mark when we quilt-pad some of it. Don’t forget to move your important documents yourself or even put them in a safety deposit box while you’re in the process of moving. This includes passports, birth certificates, social security cards, medical records, marriage certificates and anything else that’s important. The Austin local moving company hopes that these moving tips help make moving day stress-free for you. And don’t forget, for professional and reputable movers, call All My Sons of Austin.
