More Moving Tip From The Austin Movers

We’re in the business of moving so, of course, we accumulate more and more knowledge with every move we do and like to share it with our customers from time to time. Here are a few more random tips and moving advice from the All My Sons of Austin movers. When you’re packing your boxes, try to also pack the bottom part too to make sure all things stay secure and inside the box. Also, try to not over pack it and keep weight to 50 pounds. Don’t pack any flammable items or hazardous materials, that can be dangerous and shouldn’t be loaded in a moving truck. If you have a substantial library in your home, when packing, place book flat in the box, not standing and don’t pack too many in one box, because of the heavy weight. Don’t polish your furniture before moving, it will make it slippery for our Austin local movers and also, it might leave a mark when we quilt-pad some of it. Don’t forget to move your important documents yourself or even put them in a safety deposit box while you’re in the process of moving. This includes passports, birth certificates, social security cards, medical records, marriage certificates and anything else that’s important. The Austin local moving company hopes that these moving tips help make moving day stress-free for you. And don’t forget, for professional and reputable movers, call All My Sons of Austin.

Do-It-Yourself Moves Aren’t As Easy As You think

A lot of people, especially in an economic downturn, figure that moving by themselves is easy. They don’t take into consideration all the hard work and expertise it requires. People figure a few boxes here and there, a little furniture, put it all on a truck and that’s it. They’re not realizing how much stuff they actually have and that it’s a lot more than boxes an d a couch. And, of course, depending on the size of the home, the load gets bigger and bigger. Boxes, appliances, fitness equipment, libraries, dressers, computers, televisions, lamps, ceiling fans, art, mirrors, dining tables, chairs, beds and do much more to move. Plus, there are certain and specific ways to move this stuff. From making sure it fits in the door way to padding corners for less damage, not to mention how hard it is to lift that type of weight. And the last thing you’ll want to do after you’ve been cleaning, sorting and packing for a few weeks, is actually lifting and transporting that load. When you’re moving, it’s truly best to leave it to the pros, like All My Sons Moving and Storage of Austin. The Austin local moving company is reputable and is backed by four generations of moving experience, servicing locations like Salado, New Braunfels, Waco, Temple, Seguin and Lampasas. Great Service From the All My Sons of Austin Movers

I don’t get overwhelmed easily, with a fulltime job, three little children and a household to take care of, being overwhelmed is just not part of the daily routine. But, when it came time to choosing a moving company, that’s exactly how I felt. My husband and I did some research online but there were so many moving companies with glossy and fancy websites promising they were the best. How would I ever find the right one for me? Feeling frustrated, I talked about it to a close colleague of mine during our lunch break one day. She said she had the solution: All My Sons Moving and Storage of Austin. She said they did an impeccable job moving her entire family to a new house in Temple. So that night, I went back to the internet and researched some more. I found the All My Sons of Austin website and really liked what I saw. They were licensed, insured and most importantly, experienced. I called their offices and asked a few questions and by the end of the phone call, I booked the Austin movers for the following week. Sure enough, the Austin moving specialists were on my front porch seven days later. Their service was professional and amicable. They all worked well together and didn’t need me there to supervise the whole thing. I trusted they would do a good job, and that’s exactly what they did. If anyone lives around the Austin area and is looking to move to a new address, hire the All My Sons of Austin movers, you won’t regret it. This moving testimonial was by Delia Hirsh, Austin TX.

Moving Can Bring Your Family Together

Everyone knows that moving can be hectic. The transition can be hard on the parents, on the kids, even on the pets… especially if moving wasn’t a decision you were happy to make. Maybe the family had to relocate because of dad’s recent job offer in another city. Maybe moving was due to a foreclosure. And so on. In any case, All My Sons Moving and Storage of Austin recommends getting everyone involved. This will create a bond between all the family members, making the transition easier for everyone. Get the kids involved in packing, let them gather their books, toys, shoes and place them in boxes. At the dinner table in the weeks prior to the move, discuss your new area. Bring up the positive things about your new neighborhood. You could even discuss what type of moving company you’d like to hire. Express to your kids how important it is to you that the movers transfer your belongings with care to reassure them about the safety of their own belongings. Your kids are probably attached to certain items around the house and you want to make sure they know they will get them back once they move. If you’re looking to move in and around the Austin area, let the All My Sons Austin movers take care of all your moving needs. With four generations of moving experience, they’ll do a great job and help you move stress-free.

Save on Your Utility Bill

When you move into a new place, it’s a chance for a fresh start. You get to rearrange your new house or apartment, maybe buy new furniture, everything is clean and feels like new. All My Sons Moving and Storage of Austin suggests rethinking some of your old ways and establishing new ones. For example, little improvements here and there can save you money when it comes to your utility bill. All My Sons of Austin movers suggest unplugging appliances like large screen televisions or big stereo systems, as much as 75% of electricity is used while they’re off. That’s money down the drain. Change your light bulbs, compact fluorescent bulbs use about 25% of the electricity of standard bulbs. All My Sons of Austin movers also recommend checking your insulation because that has a significant impact of your heating and cooling bills. You can try using fans instead of air conditioner during certain times, it’s much cheaper than running the AC. Another quick tip is to turn off the computer when you’re not using it. These are all little changes you can do to save money in your new home.

The customer rep on the phone was great and helpful, she even had a few tips about packing which came in handy. The All My Sons of Austin movers were very efficient. They worked fast and can take direction really well. The even protected my mirrors with some extra padding that they had. It worked out great. I really thought moving would be very hard and make me anxious, but I guess hiring a reputable moving company helps. I mean besides the actual packing, I really didn’t do too much. All My Sons of Austin did it all. Even when we got to my new 2-bedroom condo apartment in Salado, they placed all my belongings in the correct rooms, so I didn’t have to transfer things and items around once they were gone. I really recommend these guys, these Austin movers know what they doing.

A Good Move Deserves A Good Review

I know a lot of people, just like me, search the internet to read reviews and testimonials about different companies and products. So since I just recently had a great experience with a moving company called All My Sons Moving and Storage of Austin, I thought I’d put it out there for others to read and evaluate if this moving company is right for them. We all know that moving can be stressful, so if I can make it a little easier on someone then that’s great. I hired All My Sons of Austin to move my belongings from Waco to Temple, TX. I went from living in a 2-bedroom to a 3-bedroom and boy did I have a lot of stuff to move. I had tons of boxes, suitcases filled with clothes and shoes, appliances, plants, TVs and good old furniture of course. The All My Sons movers did such an impressive job with everything. They moved in a fast pace and were very professional about everything. When I was researching the company online, I found out they were licensed and insured and were family-owned which to me gave them more credibility. I was so surprised about how the entire moving day went so smoothly. The came, they loaded their truck and transported everything back to Temple. All I had to do was kind of help them out in telling them where I wanted my stuff to be placed in my new home. IT was truly a great experience as far as moving goes and I recommend All My Sons of Austin to anyone looking to move.

So you’re excited about moving into your new place. You’ve packed and soon will have your stuff moved to the new home by a professional moving company like All My Sons Moving and Storage of Austin. A reputable, experienced and friendly company with great, professional service from start to finish. But before the moving in part, you check out the place one last time and notice that even though it looks clean you can still spot dirt. All My Sons of Austin is here to help with a few cleaning tips that can start you off the right cleaning path. First you want to make sure you look up. Check out the ceiling fans, the chandeliers, lights and fixtures that are up there. You’ll probably notice lots of dust and/or cobwebs. Just use a wet rag or cleaning wipes, that’ll do the job. Next, you want to use your vacuum cleaner to suck up all the dust along the window sills and base boards. You also want to try and wipe down the walls, especially next to the door knobs where you’ll probably spot fingerprints. And finally, finish the cleaning part off by sweeping the entire place.

How to Be Kind to The Environment While You Move

There are little things we can do to be kinder to the environment while we move. All My Sons Moving and Storage of Austin suggests, for example, using boxes that were already in use. You can go to your local supermarket to get boxes or maybe ask around your friends and colleagues if they have any boxes laying around the house. Also, your office might have boxes that are headed for the dumpster. In re-using these boxes, you’ll be recycling. Also, instead of throwing away any furniture, clothing or china, give them away to charity and let someone else enjoy them. Many towns also have recycling centers that you can give stuff away too. All My Sons of Austin also suggests being conscious of space when you are packing. The tighter your things fit in a box, the more secure they are and the less boxes you’ll need to use. If you need to wrap delicate belongings like glasses and fine china, do so with newspaper or better yet use your own clothes, towels and sheets to wrap and secure your stuff. Moving can create a lot of waste if we are not careful but by using these tips you’ll help the environment and still have a safe and stress-free move.

Saving Tips While Moving

Moving to a new location doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg. There are ways for you to save money throughout the entire moving process. The first thing you can do is let your cable company, internet and phone provider know that you will be moving on a certain date and that you won’t be needing their services from that day on. This way you won’t be paying for services you are never going to use. Also you can cut other services in advance like electricity, water and anything else that can fall into this category.
All My Sons Moving and Storage of Austin also suggests packing things yourself to save more money. Some moving companies, like ours, offer this service but at an extra charge, so if you want to spend the last money possible on a move, pack things yourself. And to make it easier on yourself, make sure that what you do want to pack are things tat you use. If there are a lot of items around your house that are old, broken, or you simply have no need for, either give them away to charity, or hold a garage sale and try to sell them. That’ll definitely put more money in your pocket.
Another tip to try to save money while moving is getting a correct quote. You want to deal with a moving company like All My Sons of Austin that’ll be truthful with what they will be charging you. We take everything into consideration so that there are no surprises after our Austin movers load the truck. Watch out for moving companies that will you give you a cheap quote at first and then hike up the price and hold your belongings hostage if you don’t pay up.

All My Sons’ Tips to Move Plants

When moving to a new home, people usually think of the following: Packing clothes, photo albums, important paperwork, fine china, notifying the post office and electricity provider of their change of address and so on. But there are things most people don’t put too much thought into, like, for example, how to pack house plants. Do we pack them in tall boxes? Do we put them in our personal cars on the day of the move instead of the moving truck? Or do we simply leave them behind? All My Sons Moving and Storage of Austin has a few tips on how to move house plants. If it’s a short move, there’s usually no problem with putting them on the moving truck. As long as the weather is not over 100 degrees Fahrenheit or below 30 degrees Fahrenheit, which isn’t in most cases. If the move is a long distance drive that will take a few days, you might want to pack them into your own car so you can actually water them while on the road. If that’s not a possibility either because you have no place in your car or for any other reason, make sure that the soil is extra moist before the movers load them up onto the truck.

It’s Important to Find a Reputable Moving Company

It’s Important to Find a Reputable Moving CompanyAccording to myfoxaustin.com, a woman has been waiting for her personal belongings to be delivered for quite some time now. She signed a binding contract with a moving company for twenty-one hundred dollars and now the movers are holding her stuff hostage until she forks up 14,000 dollars. Apparently, there’s little she can do. There is no law stopping a moving company from holding onto your stuff indefinitely in a payment dispute. Smooth move with All My Sons of Austin.

It was almost the end of the month and I hadn’t found a moving company yet, I was getting nervous. I was moving from Temple to Austin and needed a bunch of professional movers to move my stuff. Friends and family told me to make sure that I hire a company that’s licensed and insured and of course had a good rep. I searched online for a while and found All My Sons Moving and Storage of Austin. They had a few resources online plus testimonials of people who seemed to be very happy with their services. So I called them. The All My Sons Austin movers sounded like they knew what they were talking about over the phone. They asked me a few questions about the size of my place, the number of bedrooms and if I had any big items. On the day of the move, they showed up ready for the job. They had their clean truck, the ramp, quilt-pad wrapping, everything.
The All My Sons Austin movers didn’t waste any time. They got right to it. I had so much confidence in them that I completely stayed out of their way. They did the entire move alone with no guidance from me. I got to rest, sip coffee and watch them pack up my personal belongings. All in all, it was a great move, I would definitely recommend All My Sons Moving and Storage of Austin to everyone I know.

I’ I chose All My Sons Moving and Storage of Austin.

I needed to get out of my office that I was leasing out in Waco, TX really fast. I had gotten a notice that I only had two weeks to move out. My lease had expired a while ago and I never really renewed it, so I was renting out my office on a month-to-month basis and now had to move out fast. I was lucky that I didn’t have a ton of stuff, but I did have expensive and fragile equipment like computers, faxes, copy machines and several desks for my employees. I had to think fast and find a moving company faster, but I didn’t want to deal with amateurs. I wanted to deal with professional movers. One of my employees told me that he had used All My Sons Moving and Storage of Austin before when he moved from one apartment to another. So I looked them up online and discovered they also did corporate moves. I was in luck. I gave the Austin movers a call and set up a time when they can come and pick up my things. I’m really happy with the decision I made. On the day of the move, All My Sons Austin movers showed up on time and ready to take on the challenge. They worked as a team and worked fast. They were careful with all my equipment as they secured it in their trucks. They quilt-padded some of the computers and were extra gentle with the copy machines. Like I said, I’m just so happy I chose All My Sons Moving and Storage of Austin.

My Move from Salado to Austin

I was moving from Salado to Austin and needed a reliable moving company that can do the job right. Because I lived for quite some time in my old house, I’ve accumulated lots of personal belongings I valued very much like my piano, my antique furniture and my fine china. I asked some colleagues of mine about moving companies, everyone told me I should be careful and that I should get movers with a good reputation and professional service. I looked online, read reviews and found All My Sons Moving and Storage of Austin. They had website up with tons of information plus blogs and testimonials online. I called up and set up an appointment for them to come and pick up my prized possessions. Needless to say, the All My Sons Austin movers showed up on time and ready to work. They had all the equipment they needed and knew exactly what they needed to do. I stayed out of their way and let them do their thing. They carried everything out with great care and when it came to my china, they noticed I didn’t pack it right and said that it might break. So they showed me how to make sure that it’s secure in the box and put it into the truck. And about my piano, they wrapped it in quilt so that it won’t get scratched or anything worse. All My Sons Austin movers were professional and friendly and I’m glad I chose them to do my move from Salado to Austin.

Garage Sale Before You Move

All My Sons Moving and Storage of Austin thinks it’s a great idea to have a huge garage sale a few weeks before you move. We’re sure you’ve accumulated tons of stuff over the years at your present home, and it wouldn’t be a bad idea to get rid of the things you don’t use before stepping into your new place. You’ll move less stuff which means you’ll pay less for your move and start fresh. All My Sons Austin movers suggests you look at your personal belongings and separate the things you want from the things you don’t. Look at your clothing. We’re sure some items don’t fit anymore and some are just plain out of style. Look at knick-knacks around the house, like picture frames, art you don’t like anymore, little vases, extra lamps, anything you don’t really use can be part of your garage sale. You might even have extra appliances like an extra toaster, blender, coffee maker or waffle maker. All My Sons Austin movers says to also sift through toys. If you have kids they probably have toys they’ve outgrown or just don’t like anymore. Those can also be part of your garage sale. Finally, don’t forget to put signs around your neighborhood. Include your address and date of the garage sale. You’ll unload a lot of things you don’t use and won’t have to drag them into your new home.
